Choosing your coast

Paros reads through its coasts more than its villages: orientation decides the wind, and the wind decides the stay.

Naoussa and the north

liveliest

A fishing port turned island nightlife centre, tavernas on the water and Kolymbithres beach minutes away. The most in-demand area, and the most expensive.

Aliki and the south

families

A preserved fishing village, calm water, the airport close by. The most sheltered exposure from the meltemi, the Cycladic summer wind.

East coast, Molos and Piso Livadi

quiet

Nature reserves, long sand beaches and traffic-free villages. This is where the most secluded villas in the selection sit.

Parikia and the west

practical

The capital and ferry port, shops open year-round, daily links to Naxos, Mykonos and Santorini.

When to come

June and early July
The sea is already warm, the island still quiet, the meltemi rare. The best window of the season.
Mid-July and August
The absolute peak. Large villas are booked from the previous winter, and the meltemi blows for days on the north and west coasts.
September
The sea is at its warmest and the island empties. Real availability until a few weeks out.
October
End of season, rates falling sharply, some tables and beach clubs close.

Frequently asked questions

What budget for a villa in Paros?

Owners on the island do not publish public rates: each villa is quoted weekly according to the period, the party size and the services requested. We confirm the exact rate on request, within one working day.

How many bedrooms for a large group?

Fifteen of the forty-three villas offer six bedrooms or more, and the largest has eight. For these formats, July and August weeks are booked from the previous winter.

Which coast should I choose in Paros?

The north around Naoussa for life and nightlife, the south around Aliki for calm and shelter from the meltemi, the east coast for seclusion and long beaches, Parikia for proximity to the port and shops.

Do I need a car in Paros?

Yes for every villa outside the villages, which is most of the selection. Distances are short but access is often by unpaved track.
