Maison Bauchart or
La Réserve Paris?

Two houses designed to feel like a private Paris apartment. One sleeps a family of six under one roof; the other serves one of the great tables in Paris.

Updated October 19, 2026
Direct answer

Both were conceived as private apartments, but they win different stays. Maison Bauchart (11 rue Quentin-Bauchart, 5-star, 10 keys) is a discreet townhouse hotel: four apartments made of connecting suites, three of them with 3 bedrooms for 6 guests (120 to 135 m²), a spa with an indoor pool and a Moroccan hammam, butlers, and it is our partner house. La Réserve Paris (42 avenue Gabriel, Palace, 3 MICHELIN Keys, 40 keys) brings a three-star restaurant, Le Gabriel, a 16-metre pool and suites of up to 220 m². A family of six, privacy, a house to yourself: Bauchart. Fine dining and palace status: La Réserve.

The match

Seven Rounds to Settle It

Place and spirit

Maison Bauchart
You walk through a plain carriage door on rue Quentin-Bauchart into a marble lobby, a staircase with its original wrought-iron banister, a planted patio at the back and two lofts in the old stables. Ten keys in all: it feels like being received in a private house rather than a hotel.
La Réserve Paris
A 19th-century townhouse on avenue Gabriel, between avenue Montaigne and the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, looking out to the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower. Jacques Garcia's romantic interiors and forty keys: palace intimacy, with a life of its own.
→ A house of your own: Bauchart. An intimate palace: La Réserve.

Families and large groups

Maison Bauchart
The house's real strength: neighbouring suites connect into four apartments. Three of them offer 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 6 guests (120 to 135 m²), with a sitting room and open kitchen. We stayed there across three generations in the Galliera Suite, and the layout works like a family flat.
La Réserve Paris
Suites from 50 to over 200 m², some of them connecting; the largest (Elysée, Grand Palais) sleep 4 with two king beds. For a very large family, La Réserve also offers its Apartments on place du Trocadéro (140 to 300 m²), a separate address with butler and concierge.
→ Six guests in one hotel: Bauchart. A very large standalone apartment: La Réserve Apartments.

Dining

Maison Bauchart
No restaurant open to the public: breakfast and room service come to your suite, a private chef can cook a bespoke dinner, and drinks are served at the house bar or in the Salon by the winter garden.
La Réserve Paris
Le Gabriel, three MICHELIN stars under Jérôme Banctel, plus La Pagode and Le Gaspard bar. In-room dining is cooked to order by Le Gabriel's chef.
→ Fine dining: La Réserve, clearly.

The spa

Maison Bauchart
Indoor pool, Moroccan hammam, sauna and two treatment suites, reached by lift from your floor. Our couples' massage there was arranged and followed up by the team.
La Réserve Paris
A 16-metre indoor pool, three treatment rooms, a hammam and a gym with a coach; swimming is reserved for guests of the hotel and the Apartments.
→ Swimming laps: La Réserve. A spa that feels private: Bauchart.

Service

Maison Bauchart
The butlers send a preferences questionnaire before arrival, unpack for you and arrange everything (bookings, personal shopper, coach). When we arrived the street was closed for works: the team guided us in and parked the car at the Prince de Galles across the road. The team stays reachable on WhatsApp.
La Réserve Paris
Every room and suite has its own dedicated butler (luggage, a drawn bath, a menu improvised at any hour) backed by a Clefs d'Or concierge desk.
→ A tie on standards. At Bauchart, we speak from experience.

Privacy and buyouts

Maison Bauchart
Ten keys, a carriage door and no public restaurant: you see very few people. The whole house can be taken exclusively, from the spa to the cigar lounge and the 500-bottle cellar: required from seven suites, from €24,000 a night, two nights minimum in low season.
La Réserve Paris
Forty keys and a three-star restaurant that draws outside diners: discreet for a palace, but livelier by nature.
→ Privacy and buyouts: Bauchart.

Price and booking

Maison Bauchart
The range shared by the house: €1,600 to €4,600 per suite per night depending on category and season, service and 10% VAT included, breakfast and city tax extra (October 2026). As official partner, GADAIT books directly with the team.
La Réserve Paris
Rates on request by dates and season, with an advance-purchase offer published on its website. We quote it as an independent stay advisor.
→ Compare on your dates: we quote both side by side.

The deciding factor
A Paris apartment,
with the spa downstairs
Two ways to live in Paris as if it were home. The right one depends on who comes with you.
Our verdict

Our Verdict, Frankly

Book La Réserve Paris if the stay is built around the table and palace status: three-star Le Gabriel, a 16-metre pool, suites of up to 220 m² and views of the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower. For a food-loving couple, it is the obvious choice.

Book Maison Bauchart for any stay where you want to feel at home: a family of six in a three-bedroom apartment, several generations under one roof, a spa that feels private, a house you can take over entirely. Transparency: Maison Bauchart is our official partner, and we stayed there as a family in August 2026. For a stay built around fine dining, we recommend La Réserve without hesitation, and we arrange both.
